Welcome to Woodfield Infant School

Happily learning together. Be Kind. Be Responsible. Be Hardworking. This is the Woodfield Way.

Our Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA)

Woodfield & St George’s Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) is a registered charity (No. 1201568) run by volunteers to raise valuable funds that benefit St George’s Junior School, Woodfield Infant School and Nursery.

Our aim is to support the schools and their pupils by running fundraising events and activities throughout the academic year. With the funds raised we can invest in resources and experiences for the children to learn from and enjoy.   To find out more about what we have been doing and what future events are planned have a look at our newsletters or follow us on Facebook or Instagram.

We are always looking for more volunteers who can offer their ideas, expertise or time - whether it’s an hour here and there or more involvement with bigger events. We currently have just four committee members so we really appreciate any support to help make our events happen.

It's easy to get in touch: simply send us a message on social media, or email yourptfa@gmail.com

We look forward to hearing from you!

PTFA Annual General Meeting AGM

πŸ—“οΈ  Monday, 10th February 2025

⌚7.30 pm

πŸ“St George's School Hall  -  access via Kelsalls Lane/SGJ car park

Most of the year the PTFA focuses on raising money and creating fun experiences for the children, however, as a registered charity we have to do the formal stuff too so every year we must hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM). This year it is at 7:30-8.30pm on Monday 10th February at St George's School Hall.  There we will report on the year just gone, including our accomplishments, challenges and finances.

This is a chance for you to come and meet the PTFA and other parents/school staff, and hear about what the PTFA do for our schools and how you can give your support, and, if you are interested, get more involved.

We currently have six official committee roles filled including Co-Chairs, Secretary and Treasurer, as well as two additional committee members. However, the current PTFA committee will all formally stand down from these roles and, along with any new nominees, will put themselves forward for roles and be voted in as appropriate and a new committee will be formed with current and new (hopefully) members.

We have attached some FAQs to give you more of an idea about how our AGM works. At the AGM, more than ever, the phrase "It takes a village" counts. We are expected to meet a minimum quorum of 12 attendees, even just to sit and listen, and this is becoming harder each year. Your attendance and support would be really appreciated.

If you are interested in joining the committee and have questions, just come and have a chat with a member of the PTFA about it beforehand or email us at yourptfa@gmail.com. You can just show up on the night, or if you aren’t able to make it to the AGM but would like to put yourself forward for a role then this is also possible - just email to let us know.

Meet the Team

We would also like to welcome Sarah and Sue to the Committee.  We are very grateful to you for joining us and look forward to forging ahead to provide more fun and funding throughout 2024.
