Our Behaviour Curriculum

At Woodfield Infant School & Nursery, we believe that positive behaviour is a skill that can be explicitly taught and nurtured, just like reading or mathematics. Our Behaviour Curriculum outlines the clear routines, values, and social habits we expect from our pupils every day, helping them understand exactly what successful learning and community life look like in practice. Having a dedicated behaviour curriculum is incredibly important; it creates a predictable, safe, and calm environment where children feel secure and anxiety is minimized. By explicitly teaching these daily routines—from how we listen actively in class to how we treat one another with kindness in the playground—we protect valuable learning time and ensure that every child can thrive in a respectful, focused, and happy school community.
